Odontologist Vitolis Laumakys and engineer Adolfas Morėnas met accidentally on the street when Adolf was fixing his motorcycle. They shared their mutual interest in cinema. Adolf tells having an amateur 8mm film camera – and they started filming. Also, men accidentally heard about vacant premises in the basement of the Kėdainiai Cultural Center – they managed them and acquired the minimum necessary technique for creating more professional films. Yes, The “Amateur” movie studio has settled down in 1962, becoming the most productive and well-known amateur film studio in Lithuania over time.
