We’re excited to share that SURPLACE (Lithuanian title: IŠLEISTUVĖS), the latest short fiction film by directors Simona Jurkuvėnaitė and Rytis Dringelis, will have its World Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Selected for the Short Film Competition, SURPLACE will compete for The Thelma Schoonmaker Prize for Short Filmmaking Excellence at one of the world’s longest-running film festivals.

On prom night, graduate Inga discovers that her boyfriend Kęstas is secretly helping a young stranger. As the night unfolds, the youth begins to sense that while they are celebrating new beginnings, someone else is searching for their own path into the future.
