The winner of the Lithuanian Academy awards „Silver Crane” on Sunday were director Karolis Kaupinis’ feature film Nova Lituania, which won in six categories. In total, Nova Lituania was nominated for a maximum of 12 awards. A total of almost 40 films competed in nineteen categories.
K. Kaupinis’ debut feature film „Nova Lituania”, which tells about the utopian plan to create a backup Lithuania, won the awards for The Best Film of 2020, Best Screenwriter and Best Director.
Actors Rasa Samuolyte and Vaidotas Martinaitis were awarded for the supporting roles of actress and actor in „Nova Lituania”.
Silver Crane for the best work of a production design in this film was awarded to Audrius Dumikas.
